Two-day training course on current technologies, standards, and developments in industrial automation
I will be leading the two-day training session
Industrial Automation – Ready for the Future together with Softing Industrial.
The training provides a practical overview of key technologies, standards, and current developments in industrial automation. Rather than examining individual technologies in isolation, the focus is on understanding how they interact and what they mean for industrial applications.
Topics include:
- Digitization, Digitalization, and Digital Transformation
- Industrial Communication and Networking
- Cybersecurity, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Industrial communication protocols such as HART, WirelessHART, HART-IP, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP
- Field Device Integration and Device Management with FDI and FDT/DTM
- NAMUR Open Architecture (NOA), PA-DIM, and OPC UA
- SPE and Ethernet-APL for Ethernet communication down to the field level
Practical examples and demonstrations help participants understand the relationships between the various technologies and put current developments into context.
